Refund policy

tag8 Hardware, Tags & Accessories Limited Warranty

 Available in India, the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and the European Union.

There is a 1-year warranty on manufacturing defects, i.e., defects in the material and manufacturing process, from the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser ("the “Warranty Period"). It does not cover product components that are subject to normal wear and tear, or fragile components (such as, switches, batteries or the casing).

If a defect in the DOLPHIN Tracker (‘Device), QR Code Tag (‘Tag’), or related Product or Attachment (‘Accessory’) arises within the applicable Warranty Period, tag8 will, at its sole option and subject to applicable laws: (i) repair or replace it with a new or refurbished product or component; or (ii) refund the original purchase price upon return of the defective Device, Tag, or Accessory.  A replacement product or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or 90 days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever is longer.

This Warranty does not apply to the following:

·                Conditions, malfunctions, or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship

·                Device, Tag, or Accessory you purchase from unauthorized resellers

·                where the instructions for use and activation of the Device or Tag are not complied with

·                where the Device is used with a jailbroken or rooted mobile device

·                where the Device, Tag, or Accessory is damaged as a result of abuse, accident, unauthorized modification or other causes beyond our reasonable control

·                Battery depletion for the electronic component beyond the warranty period

This warranty is in addition to any rights you may have under applicable law including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).  If you believe you are entitled to a remedy under the ACL or other local law, please contact support at support@tag8.co. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THE DEVICES, TAGS, AND ACCESSORIES ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE EXPRESS WARRANTY. ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, ARE DISCLAIMED. 

THE APP AND THE PRODUCTS ARE DESIGNED SOLELY AS AN ADDITIONAL TOOL TO HELP YOU LOCATE YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS (SUCH AS KEYS, WALLET, LAPTOP, PASSPORT, BAG, SPECTACLES, BACKPACKS, ETC.). WE DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY RESULTING FROM ANY USE OF THE APP AND OR THE SERVICES FOR ANY PURPOSE OTHER THAN THEIR INTENDED DESIGN. 

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction.

Claims process: If your tag8 product is within warranty and has stopped working contact us so we can determine what the issue may be and if there is a way to fix it.

If our team is unable to resolve the issue, we will be happy to provide instructions on how to receive a replacement. Please have your proof of purchase available as we may request it in order to verify warranty eligibility. To authorize a replacement, we will request a few details regarding your order and the issue you experienced with the tag8 product.

To obtain remedies under this Warranty, tag8 must receive your claim before the end of the applicable Warranty Period. Where required by tag8, you must provide a proof of purchase to tag8 and obtain a Return Material Authorization ("RMA") from tag8 and return the defective Device, Tag, or Accessory to the address specified by tag8 in connection with the RMA. Consumer shall bear the cost of shipping to tag8. By sending the Device, Tag, or Attachment, you agree to transfer ownership to tag8. tag8 may not return the original Device, Tag, or Accessory to you. tag8 warrants that any repaired or replaced Device, Tag, or Accessory is covered for the remainder of the applicable Warranty Period. If the claim is justified based on this Warranty, tag8 shall bear the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement Device, Tag, or Accessory to you.

Any product returned to tag8 without a valid warranty claim or without an RMA may be rejected, returned at sender’s cost (subject to prepayment) or disposed of in tag8’s sole discretion. 

tag8 Refund Policy

We have worked very hard to create a product you will love and we believe you will love your tag8 product. However, we realize the Product you receive from tag8 may not be exactly what you expected. Should this rare occurrence take place, you will have a “cooling off” right of cancellation. This allows the original retail purchaser of the Product to return all tag8s purchased in the original transaction, in their original condition, with the original receipt and packaging, within 15 days of the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser and tag8 will exchange it or provide a full refund of the original purchase price.  Please note that this policy applies only to Products you purchase directly from tag8. This is in addition to your legal rights and your rights under the tag8 Limited Warranty.
